Book review:

I received a free copy from S. A. Carter (author) in exchange for an honest review.

4.5 Stars (without spoilers)

WHAT! NO NO NO no no no no!! It can’t end! What a cliffhanger! I need book 3 “The New Coming” ASAP! xD.

The Vaga takes place 4 years after the event in book #1 of The Kuthun series.
Elena goes to collages together with her best friend Phoebe.
This time around Phoebe has a boyfriend named Sam who I end up loving too, he was funny, protective, super mysterious and the best match for Phoebe ~ such a sweet couple!

Then we have our main character Elena who I adore soooooo much! She really develop after four years, she became stronger and wiser. She still battles with the fact she is a strong witch and important for the future. All she wants to do is be a normal girl like her new found friends Rihanna and (sometime) Jessica who is very competitive toward Elena and hate losing to her. At the collage we also find a very familiar face who loves Elena like his own daughter… Yup it’s none other than our beloved Uncle Jo! I would still wish he was my uncle ;).
The relationship between Elena and Uncle Jo is put to the test because Jo still treats her like a teenager and tell her what to do and not to do, which Elena is tired of.

Then there’s Julian… Ohh gosh Julian I’m SO IN LOVE WITH HIM!!! Sheree can I have him please!? In this second book we get to know him a lot more which just made me love him more <3_<3.
Not only do we get to know Julian better but also the Puritans and Erebus who is a much bigger threat to Elena and those around her.
We discover a few things about some people and the power within Elena.
The author's writing style is creative and the world building is great! You feel like you are in it as well.
The themes in the story such as bravery, hard decisions, forgiveness and love play a big role. I have soooooo many other things I want to say about The Vaga! But I just can’t without some spoilers for both The Kuthun & The Vaga xD.

I only have one issue with the book and that is why I didn't give it full 5 stars but 4.5. But this book series is worth reading! It got action, love, friendship, strong bond, awesome fight sequences, paranormal, supernatural, mystical creatures and LOT’S of humor ;D!
The Vaga was a quick read for me because I end up flipping the pages fast without realizing it!
I highly highly recommend this book to anyone who likes paranormal, supernatural, love, mystery and action.

Thank you so so so much Sheree for letting me reading this awesome book series! I cannot wait to read book #3 The New Coming!

Book review:

I received the book from the author S. A. Carter and the group We ❤️ YA Books! In exchange for my honest review.
Thanks again for the chance! :D

I always been fascinated by witches and magic and this book deliver!
It's was fun, fast paced and quite enjoyable!

Elena was an awesome character to follow! She was smart, carrying, independent 16th years old girl with some kickass witch powers! I loved her very much ;D
I really liked her relationship with her uncle Jo, her dog Megi and her best friend Phoebs!

What I did miss was more of Elena's school life and the Venator.
A very cool elements to this story was time traveling! Omgosh I loved it so much! Getting back in time and see what Elena experienced it really felt like you were with her! S. A. Carter really got that though with her writing style ;) great job S. A!

There was SO many fun moment through the adventures between Elena and her uncle such as:

“Think Robert Pattinson in the throes of hunger, type of red,’ he says sarcastically, trying to lighten the mood.
I don’t smile. I start to feel sick again. I nod, not knowing what else to say. I wave them off as I head upstairs. Red eyes? Why the bloody hell would my eyes turn red? Am I turning into a vampire?”...

I was laughing out loud xD!

One thing that really had me hooked on this story was the non-romance in it!
I love YA book with romance but in this one I did not miss it AT ALL! It was cool just to read Elena growing up and learn who she was! Well DONE S. A!

Definitely read this book if you are a fan of witches, magic, time travel and just want to read a YA with no romance at first sight ;D.

BBF Blog Tour

The lovely and best friend Melissa from The Reader and the Chef made a Blog Friends Forever Tour interview with me! GO CHECK IT ALL OUT ON HER BLOG!!! And there's some awesome giveaway too! So don't miss that and go to http://www.thereaderandthechef.com/ and read the whole interview with me!

Here's a sneak peek:

BFF Blog Tour Interview with Emma from Raining Shadow Rose!

Hi Emma! I want to introduce you to the book blogging world! So first of all, why don’t you tell us a few things about yourself?

Hi my name is Emma and I just turned 20! And I’m a happy person! :D
I live in Denmark btw..

So this summer I just graduated from high school! (Yay!).
I’m now taking a year off to figure out what I want to do with my life.

In my spare time I either sleep or play with my cat ;).
And of course I READ! Sometimes I bake cakes too.

2. Awesome! So Emma, when did you decide to start book blogging and why did you call your blog Raining Shadow Rose of Book? I love the name btw!

I did it on my last year of high school in December I believe. I always been fascinated with others bloggers out there especially one.

So I just decided to actually try it out for good myself. And one of the main reason (THE reason)  was because I didn’t got along with my classmate back then. I had one tho but if she got sick it was pain in the a*** so instead of feeling bad and make myself alone/miserable I wanted to make myself busy! So yeah that is the reason and one of my very good friend (she’s actually one of my best friend) she helped me out on how this book blogger worked out. I’m really grateful to her so thank you!.

SO the name:
I had another one before this to be honest. It was just a replacement until I found my own.
Raining Shadowrose of books has a meaning behind.

1. I love rain! My very first book I read was on a raining day and the same day it got me into the world of books.

2. I like the word itself but I always been living like a shadow most of my life. I’m adopted and when you are a little kid - other kids foe example from my old class, they used to look at me weird because of my different skin colour so I learn to hide myself in class plus I’m a VERY shy person in real life too. But don’t worry it is not a bad thing tho because I like being with myself and the books. I like living in my own world and just think and be me ;).

3. I like to draw and my very first and I mean the really good ones was of a rose. I didn’t know I could draw like that and from that day on I been drawing whatever I think was pretty or wanted to try out drawing.
So yeah that’s why. Ohhh and because I love books!

Well, I'm glad you decided to try out book blogging! You rock. Now, could you please share with us your top 5 favorite books of all times? I'm curious!

Indeed I can!.. or maybe not ;)

1. The Cat's Eye Chronicles series!! by T. L. Shreffler
2. Stolen songbird series by Danielle L. Jensen
3. The mortal instruments series by Cassandra Clare
4. Iron Fey series by Julie Kagawa
5. Harry Potter series by J. K. Rowling

But there’s so many good books I have read. It was hard to choose. From 2 and down I just wrote some of my favorites so they are not necessarily that order I put them on BUT number 1 IS certainly my all times favorite!

I high five you with your awesome book choices! What are you currently reading?
The Manifesto on how to be interesting by Holly Bourne
Ugly Love by Colleen Hoover
Crown of Midnight by Sarah J. Maas.

Which are your favorite genres?
YA, Contemporary, Romance, Paranormal, Fantasy, Mystery.

Best book-to-movie adaptation?
The Duff by Kody Keplinger. I didn’t enjoy the book very much - I give it a 2.5 stars. The movie however Gosh it was SOOO GOOD!
Which author would you LOVE to meet in person?
J. K. Rowling, Danielle l. Jensen, T. L. Shreffler, Sarah Guillory, Julie Kagawa, Stephanie Perkins,  Colleen Hoover, Cassandra Clare and Stephenie Meyer.
Who’s your favorite book boyfriend?I have a lot! But I have to say Crash from the cat eye chronicles.
Aang or Zuko?
ZUKO!!! <3

Hot Chocolate or Coffee?
In general? … Hot Chocolate! I think I will go down and get some ;D.
Thank you so much Emma for the interview! Loved all your answers, you have great taste in books. Readers, she's like my bookish twin. ;)

NEW Twilight!!

OMG you guys!!!
In honor of the 10th anniversary October the 6th Stephenie Meyer published a whole new Twilight book! This time she's switched the genders :O - THAT IS GENIUS!
In the new titled "Life and death: Twilight Reimagined" Bella Swan is now a boy named Beau and Edward Cullen is now Edythe and Jacob is named Julie.

Stephenie Meyer on thedailybeast.com;You know, Bella has always gotten a lot of censure for getting rescued on multiple occasions, and people have always complained about her being a typical damsel in distress,” said Twilight author Stephenie Meyer in her introduction to the new reissue. “She’s also been criticized for being too consumed with her love interest, as if that’s somehow just a girl thing. But I’ve always maintained that it would have made no difference if that human were male and the vampire female—it’s still the same story.”

Well Meyer I can't WAIT to get my hands on it and found out! I already ordered it on Amazon!
Love the cover XD!!
