Forevermore

Book Review: Forevermore

16238648 Title: Forevermore
Author: Cindy Miles
Genre: Fantasy, paranormal, mystery
Published: August 1st 2013
Page count: 240
Format: paperback

Summary (Goodreads):
Ivy’s moved to her new stepfather’s cold castle in the wilds of Scotland, where strange things begin to happen: the ancient walls spilling their dark secrets.
Rescue comes when she meets Logan, a gorgeous, elusive boy – a ghost, who has haunted the castle grounds for decades. Ivy is immediately drawn to him … but Logan is not the only spirit around, and soon Ivy finds herself at the heart of a dangerous mystery.

Ivy Calhoun moves with her mother to Glenmorrag the home of her stepfather Niall.
She doesn't really know Niall and his mother is a judgmental angry old lady + there's a ghostly voice keeps telling her to leave. As it turns out the voice belongs to Logan Munro who is just trying to save Ivy from a terrible fate.

Ivy acts both sensibly and like a teenager trying to find herself. She knows she can't just leave the castle given that she's sixteen and in a country she barely knows so she sets out to solve the mystery of Logan's death. One of the main ways she does this is by talking to her new group of friends. She slowly begins to feel she actually fir in - which she didn't do back at her hometown.

I also really loved how they spoke like they actually do in Scotland like saying "Aye" (which I can't help but say all the time now XD ) instead of yes. It really helped bring out there accents and how Ivy helps at understanding some of the words that was well done.

It was definitely a light fun paranormal romance and its super quick and easy to get through & can I just say how perfect Logan was? He WAS so lovely and I really enjoyed Ivy and Logan's relationship and the trust they had for each other and how they work together to fight the evil haunting Glenmorrag! I keep smiling at the development between Ivy and her stepdad it was great.

My only complaint is that I wished it was longer! The author could have made more happen for example the background story/history and it would have helped the ending too if it was 150-200 pages longer. Because Ivy get one solution handed to her and stumbles across another and everything is solved. That was a big downfall  for me - I expected a lot more action and history or anything! And that is mostly the reason I'm giving this 4 stars.

Happily ever after high school

Happily ever after high school:

Title: Happily ever after high school
Author: Savannah Ostler
Genre: YA, Fantasy, Fairy Tale re-telling
Published: January  18th 2015

Format: paperback

Summary (Goodreads):
Seventeen year old Albany French wants nothing more than to find her very own happily ever after. She dreams of finding her fairy godmother, going to the ball, and being swept away by a Prince. Much to her dismay, her life is no fairy tale. Albany is just a typical, all American girl who attends an overly crowded public high school.

An untimely tragedy leaves Albany desperate for a new life.
She seeks comfort in her eccentric grandmother, Greta. Not only does Greta welcome Albany into her home with open arms, but she transfers Albany to a new school.
But... this new school is not your average high school. This is... Happily Ever After High, the enchanting high school that hosts hundreds of magical, fairytale students.
Albany is about to begin the journey of a lifetime… as she discovers who she really is, where her family came from, falls in love for the first time, and embarks on a quest to fulfill a prophecy that has been passed on for ages.

Welcome to Happily Ever After High.

Albany is independent, determined, unique, creative and she is definitely a day dreamer.
She absolutely hates public school because she feels that she doesn't belong. Albany doesn't really have any friends at her old school as the students at her school kind of find her very odd ;) - she does have her flaws tho, she can be stubborn and a real mess.

She has a very witty sense of humor which she often use in sarcasm (which was entertaining!)
- mostly in situation of conflict. She just likes to stick to her gut and is not afraid to increase it. She really stood out with her sarcasm and humor. Honestly the things she did or said had me laughing a lot. You've got to love a character whose inner monologue can make you crack up ;) It was well written which made me wish I could have went a to a magical high school full of Fairy Tales, mythological creatures and even meet you're favorites Disney princess - in my old days when I was still a kid ^_^.

I do hope Ben will kick some ass and believe in himself in "Once Upon A University" - I'm so looking forward to read that! :D
I don't know but I need Ben to have more gut like Albany and take control sometime :) - BUT I still like Ben, he was still sweet ;).

That said it was still a enjoyable read and I would definitely recommend this book to fairytale lovers :D

Title: Ferran's Map

Can Crash lay to rest his past, or will he succumb to his inner demon and rejoin the man who once made him a killer?

Holy chocolate cake!!!! This book was like a chocolate cake it was sweet, fantastic and so good!! Okay I feel stupid comparing Ferran’s map with chocolate cake …. But then again chocolate cake is the best thing in the whole wide world and this book series is one of my favorite of all time!!
It gets better and better!

The book was just amazing! I'm just too stunned to even figure out where to begin! There's so many emotions going on and too much in my head to write down but I try my best. Okay I knew there was something more than meets the eye with Ferran and it was a good surprise.
So much happened! My head is still spinning! So many characters development in the journey everything happened so quick @_@ !
Yet again, the plot was full of actions. It got everything! – Mystery, development, twist, love and action!

The story progressed so perfectly! And again I love the cover it's SO beautiful!

I loved all the POV in this one! When you are reading in one of the POV it always end with a cliff-hanger. Then you end up reading a different POV fast because you want to know what is going to happen from the previous storyline. However, the currently POV you were reading ends you just want to know what’s going to happened to that one and etc. – AMAZING!! I loved learning about everyone's story.

It was all so balanced not to much of each POV. Since the book is called Ferran's map I am so glad the main POV was him. It was awesome too get to know him and his past I liked him the first day Lori introduced us to him. Speaking of Lori can I say how much I respect her? She is one hard working caring mother but I do wish she would let others in a bit more but then again... I will not spoiled you but it broke my heart and I love Lori a lot more than before.

I never read a series that took 4 books of slow building romance ever! AND I LOVE IT SO MUCH! Crash and Sora are so great together my heart is always melting when those two are together – I like their scene best!   [ Please don't keep them physically apart too much in the next book (hide spoiler)]In my mind, the series really contains two separate

Sora is still growing and I keep loving her more every time! She’s nothing like a person I read before! I have no word to describe her – just how incredible she is I guess.
She is become an awesome fighter! Sora and Crash have so many lovely moment and there’s one moment in the beginning of story that shows her innocent that was funny: […] "in fact, I enjoyed it." There. "Not that you asked. Or cared to ask."
She tried not to sound bitter, but it was impossible to hide.”… “She turned to face him, trying not to show her nervousness. She could handle his rebuffs, his cold shoulder and even a mean word or two. But staring him in the face…this was hard.” that was quite funny to witness because Crash is SO serious.
Am so proud of her! I want to hug her!

OMG! I loved Crash and his demon relationship - they so funny together and interesting at the same time! Crash is still my favorite assassin I ever read/witness.
The tension between Sora and Crash is so adorable! They are so awkward together because Sora is young and quite inexperienced and Crash ALWAYS takes everything so seriously XD I love him for it! I love that Tristan can make Crash jealous… Wait what!!? :O. Another person can make Crash… Crash the heartless killer who doesn’t care about others - Can get JEALOUS! :O – Awesome! ;).  The assassin who was stone-faced and cold to everybody till this remarkable caring growing assassin who would gladly sacrifice himself and protect the ones he loves what a development!. Furthermore, it was cool to know more about him. How he felt about the Hive, his master, his powers, Sora and his lovely demon, which I am in love with! <3.

Burn wasn't really present in this book and it didn’t really bother me at all – there was so many others to be introduced to and see their past and struggling.
I still like Caprion a lot and if he is playing a double game I’m going to hit something really hard.
I wanted to hit Krait all the time! She was completely loyal (brainwashed) to her master and I felt sorry for her – she won’t see the true and she shut down all the time then it’s there just in front her eyes. I really really really hope in “Krait's redemption” she will put her superego master servant to a stop join Sora team and kick some ass ;).

Shreffler really took a step further and I like that A LOT!! It is more serious now I love how this book is heading! It feel like a completely new adventure with different storyline.
This book series feel like its separate in some ways. Now it is all about Cerastes, The Shade and the Dark God.
I LOVED the massage in this book!!!:
We all have demons, Crash,” she said quietly.” … “Just remember what's in the past, and what's in your future. Remember who you are.”  Shreffler really showed us this theme in the perfect, stunning beautiful way possible in all the POV. I was mind-blowing!! – Just incredible!
“She felt the need to continue. “Some days we make mistakes,” she said gently. “We feel like we take a step backward, or even worse, like we aren’t true to ourselves. Sometimes, our lives change dramatically and yet we still feel stuck in the same place. But every day, we have the chance to start anew. ”... “We're all headed somewhere, and with each new day, we get a little better and a little wiser…”
I cried in this scene it’s was truly emotional and heart breaking. I end up reading this scene over, and over again. That was the best moment in the whole book!

I cannot thanks Shreffler enough for writing this series! It was worth waiting for and I’m so excited for the next one to come out!

If you haven’t read this series yet I don’t know what you been doing all these years! – So go find a peace of chocolate cake and a BIG large of thé and start this
remarkable, beautiful, loving, amazing, unique, stunning, breath-taking book series and enjoy! :D

Reclaimed

Book Review: Reclaimed

Title: Reclaimed
Author: Sarah Guillory
Genre: YA, Mystery, Contemporary
Published: October 15th 2013
Page count: 296 pages
Format: paperback

Summary (Goodreads):
Jenna Oliver doesn’t have time to get involved with one boy, let alone two.
All Jenna wants is to escape her evaporating small town and her alcoholic mother. She's determined she'll go to college and find a life that is wholly hers—one that isn't tainted by her family's past. But when the McAlister twins move to town and Jenna gets involved with both of them, she learns the life she planned may not be the one she gets.

Ian McAlister doesn't want to start over; he wants to remember.
Ian can’t recall a single thing from the last three months—and he seems to be losing more memories every day. His family knows the truth, but no one will tell him what really happened before he lost his memory. When he meets Jenna, Ian believes that he can be normal again because she makes not remembering something he can handle.

The secret Ian can’t remember is the one Luke McAlister can’t forget.
Luke has always lived in the shadow of his twin brother until Jenna stumbles into his life. She sees past who he’s supposed to be, and her kiss brings back the spark that life stole. Even though Luke feels like his brother deserves her more, Luke can’t resist Jenna—which is the trigger that makes Ian's memory return.

Jenna, Ian, & Luke are about to learn there are only so many secrets you can keep before the truth comes to reclaim you.

O.M.G.... I'm lost for words.. or I have to many words...
I really don't know how to describe this beautiful, loving, amazing book! But I try my best.
But before that- I would like to give my thanks to a special friend of mine for recommended me the book! <3 :D.
I loved the book SO MUCH!
I won't give away the main twist, but trust me this unique, stunning, breath-taking book is remarkable because when you THINK you've guessed it, you can’t be more wrong. You can’t help but guessing from start to finish but
in this book is one you will never see coming. I was so blown away by how Sarah pulled this off!
Jenna Oliver was definitely a wonderful person! I really adore her a lot! All she wants is to survive the summer and her senior year in High School. Jenna is healing from the loss of her grandpa and trying to hold together her alcoholic mother. She is a hard working person and I respect her for it!
Jenna is strong, smart and beautiful and love running at night.
Then she meets the McAllister twins Ian and Luke her world get turned around.

Ian is sweet, gentle and thoughtful. He plays football, makes good grades. Jenna like being with him and it doesn’t bother her that Ian can’t remember his past there just something about him that draws Jenna in.
Luke is dangerous and the
best example of bad boy and Jenna can't resist him because he let her be her true self with no excuses.
After spending so much of her life being good, it is hard for her to resist the charm and mystery.
Jenna constantly reminds herself that she needs to stay away from Luke and trust me she tries, she really does.
Torn between the two of them and all the lies and secrets it's only matter of time before the truth comes out.
Sarah Guillory want an incredible author she is and the fact that Reclaimed is her first debut is JUST mind-blowing!  Her writing style is incredible and perfect!
The way she describes the town, the emotions, the relationships in Reclaimed- unbelievable. And she did it all without giving anything away! How cool is that! :D
I got addicted and find myself unstoppable to stop I just needed to know what was going to happened and ended up reading this book really fast. In the end I was so unprepared for what was going on I was like "Holy crap!! - WAIT WHAT?!.. - NO WAY! What the heck just happened?" I was really surprised.
Reclaimed was one of the best debuts I have ever read. I was completely amazed by the book it had everything!  I loved every single second of it! I cannot wait to see what Sarah Guillory will come up with next - SO excited! I definitely read anything she writes. Reclaimed is a must-read so stop whatever you are doing and grab this book - it's worth it!
